Chef - owner Tony Stevens, a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, returned to his hometown of High Point, NC to open the Grappa Grille in 2001, a favorite during Furniture Market. His other restaurant concepts include Stevens Oyster Bar in Greensboro and the Cast Iron Kitchen, and has consulted for restaurants around the country. In 2016 he was tapped to help open the Katherine Brasserie & Bar in downtown Winston-Salem’s Kimpton Cardinal Hotel. With Vintage, he recalled places like the Sofa Bar atop the Paisley Pineapple, once a mainstay in downtown Greensboro, and the cocktail lounges and wine bars where comfort meets quality.
